Basin Harbor offers a beautiful lakeside experience with plenty of activities for families, making it a fun getaway. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is a highlight. However, there are issues with service and dining consistency that detracted from our stay, especially for the price paid. It's clear that while there are many positives, more attention to details would vastly improve the experience.

I was really looking forward to my stay here, but I ended up disappointed. The setting was lovely, and the activities available are impressive, but the dining options were extremely limited during my visit, which took away from the experience. While the accommodations were charming, there were some shortcomings, particularly around service and amenities that weren't accessible at the time. I would consider coming back if I was assured of better dining choices in the future.

The cabin we stayed in had a rustic charm, but it felt a bit outdated with some needed updates. It was spacious enough for our group, but did not have adequate air conditioning, which made the warm weather uncomfortable at times.
Service

Service was hit or miss; while some staff were friendly, there was confusion about what was open during our stay and I felt a lack of attentiveness when it came to customer needs.

Set on a sprawling property near Lake Champlain, the natural surroundings were beautiful. However, it was quite a trek to find dining options, especially during the shoulder season.
Dining

The limited dining options were a major disappointment. With many venues closed, we were left with only one noisy cafe that was not ideal for enjoying a meal.
Facilities

The resort boasted a lot of interesting facilities, but many were not operational during our stay such as the pool and beach bar, which left us feeling frustrated.

The room we stayed in was not what I expected, particularly for the price we paid, as it felt outdated and somewhat neglected. The dining was a mixed bag, with one outstanding experience but some disappointing meal mishaps. Overall, it was a decent stay, but improvements could definitely enhance the experience.

Basin Harbor is an ideal location for family vacations with its all-inclusive activity offerings and friendly atmosphere. The cabins are cozy and clean, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring. However, the waterfront area could use a bit more attention to maintain the recreational equipment and cleanliness. All in all, it's a wonderful place to create lasting memories.
